Much has been said about Paul Pasqualoni, Todd Bowles and the future of the Cowboys defensive coordinator position, as well as their coaching staff, but don't expect anything to change there during Thursday's press conference at Cowboys Stadium.
Jason Garrett said Monday he was just getting into the process of reviewing the players from 2010. Judgment day for the assistants will come, but it sounds like there is work to be done first.
"What you do is you evaluate the personnel on your team first," Garrett said. "Then you evaluate the systems that are in place and how you do things from a schematic standpoint. When you are doing that you evaluate the coaches."
Whether Garrett and Jerry Jones already know their plans for the staff is hard to say, but Thursday's press conference isn't going to be some re-airing of "The Decision" with the LeBron James.
The team won't create a spectacle of letting anyone down by firing them publicly, and it's hard to imagine they'll announce that any specific coaches will be coming back, because that would leave in doubt the future of those they don't discuss.
