Political preaching and finger wagging appears on rails to be a prominent feature in this season's Soup Bowl.

No doubt that a marathon of Gilligan's Island re-runs would draw higher ratings.

TV advertisers may be preparing to turn the NFL’s biggest game into the “Social Justice Bowl” with hours of woke commercials and messaging.

If reports on the ads coming for Super Bowl LV are to be believed, the funny and heartwarming ads, the cute kids and heroic animals will be running alongside Black Lives Matter themes.
Along with social justice activism, advertisers may be preparing commercials filled with coronavirus messaging as well, according to Front Office Sports.

I noticed a black player, probably a QB, on some team, with "Black Lives Matter" printed on the back of his helmet.
If that's okay on the field, would it then be okay for a white player, or any player for that matter, to have "Unborn Lives Matter" printed on the back of their helmet??
Asking for a friend...

for the past 2 years, after I took over the forums, I have published all of Superbowl videos and ask which favorite ones in the sports video thread.
He's asking why because most adult grown men don't care about the SB commercials. In context. He was asking specifically about the commercials.

Let me clarify. His "why?" Was his way of saying "why do that since nobody here cares." It was a rhetorical. The intelligent answer would be, "for traffic. For SEO."

In fact the thread itself is rhetorical. It's about why they're not intending to watch due to all the "virtue signaling" it's going to contain. It's sarcasm and irony.

Budweiser, Pepsi and Coke along with other big names will not be advertising during the Super Bowl this year for fear of offending people!

This is the first time in 37 years that Bud won’t air a Super Bowl add

And I'm sure there will be few if any new movie trailers, since most of the ones that aired during last year's game haven't been released yet. Throw in a crappy halftime show and the game better be worth it.

They don't (or maybe do) realize their failure to virtue signal might get them cancelled! No Bud, Pepsi or Coke ads in da Soup Bow? Tacit agreement with the Trump Bots? KILL!

This is a sad fucking stat

Tom Brady has been to more Super Bowls appearances as a player than every single team in the NFL has as an organization other than the Patriots

Patriots 11
Tom Brady 10
Cowboys 8
Steelers 8
Broncos 8
Niners 7
