DeMarco Murray smiled and had to admit it.

Yes, he could have scored on that 48-yard run against the Giants last week. And should have scored easy.

“Just looking at the film, I could have just probably walked in the end zone,” he said, smiling about the play as he talked to reporters Monday at Valley Ranch. “I definitely made a mistake.”

But he had a little bit of an explanation. Those defenders running with him just seemed so ... so ...

“I just thought they were so far out in front of me that I wasn’t going to be able to outrun them,” he said. “But things happen. Hopefully it doesn’t happen to me. I messed up on that one.”

Could it have been he got a little winded after wiggling his way out of trouble in the backfield?

“You can say that,” he said, again smiling. “Making a few moves in the backfield. It was a long run.”
So whose tackle was the toughest to break?

“Probably from Vickers,” he said. “Vickers almost tackled me. He had his arms around me. That was a pretty fun play.”

I do catch myself with a handful of sun chips being like "man I woulda cut it back there and jumped over that guy nom nom nom". But that was bizarre. Maybe he was playing against himself in fantasy

I doubt he was winded...He scored on a 91-yarder(Last Year) and has had tons of long runs in his career, He trains with MMA'ers in his free time .... He brain cramped ...

Maybe he was just looking to hit somebody. Perhaps he wanted revenge on the Giants for injuring him last year. He didn't think he was going to make it so decided to be violent.
