He's an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

Yep. I could see a scenario where Houston tries to land a big name QB via the draft or free agency. If Mallett hits free agency, then goooooooodbye One-Read Weeden.

Does anyone really know how good Mallet is? I don't. But he's bound to be better than Weeden.

I didn't see him play. I heard that he played the two most recent games and that it was early in the second game when he got hurt. Apparently he looked bad during the second game, but some say it was because he was playing with a season-ending injury.

Not sure how the injury would make him a one-read guy, unless he was throwing the ball as soon as possible in order to avoid getting hit.
