Houston Texans wide receiver Jacoby Jones was in San Antonio for a series of promotional and charitable appearances.
His mission, according to the San Antonio Express-News : Spread the word in an area known for its deep allegiance to the Dallas Cowboys that there's more than one NFL team in the Lone Star State.
Warned there might be some diehard Cowboys fans in San Antonio who would dispute the fact, Jones said confidently, "We are going to make 'em eat their words"
San Antonio has long had a strong Cowboys fan base. The Cowboys will conduct the first part of their training camp in San Antonio beginning Saturday.
Jones is in his fourth season with the Texans, who went 9-7 last season, the best record in franchise history.
