Spencer is on a 1 year deal. Hatcher is on his last year of his deal. Ratliff is good for 5 games. Our defensive line is troublesome.

Honestly, I still would rather go OG in rd 1, but I'm not even sure either OG will be available.

I'd be fine with Richardson. I think he's the best fit with us at DT.

We recently brought in Frederick and Pugh, two guys considered to be 2nd/3rd round interior Olineman. Plus, I still have it in my head Jerry loves Leary and is seriously thinking he's an option for a starting guard spot. Wouldn't suprise me if we didn't take a G this draft for whatever reason, and Jerry cites Leary as the reason why when asked why. "Well, um, as we sit here right now, we're real excited about Ronald Leary and think he's just as good as any guard that came out this year."

Go out on a limb why don't you. Of course that will happen. Classic Jerry. Leary will be the Andre Holmes of guards.

I like Bennie Logan and Akeem Spence if we do not take a DT in the first two rounds. I think Spence is a sleeper.

Thought I read somewhere that our scouts were really checking Logan out. He could be a mid round steal.

As long as we're trying to make this 4-3 work, we need to invest heavily in the front four. I wouldn't mind if we select and end/tackle in the first for the next 3 years or so. We do not have depth that can get pressure. After Ware, Spencer, it's a pretty big drop to Rat (the way he's been playing), then there's just nothing. These guys need to rest sometime. IMO that's the biggest reason you see us consistently fail in two minute situations on D. We are just tired.

Since this team has no running game to give the defense a rest, they need as many DL as possible on gameday. The current line-up was wore down by the 4th quarter in games last season. They are a year older and year slower. Drafting two or three DL would help if the player offers value at the position drafted.
