INDIANAPOLIS — One Direction has thrown a wrench into the Dallas Cowboys’ training camp plans. The English-Irish boy band will perform at AT&T Stadium on Aug. 24, making the stadium off-limits to the football team that calls it home for that weekend.

The seasons the Cowboys have held training camp in Oxnard, Calif., they traditionally have played the first two preseason games on the road. Last year, the Cowboys played in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, then at Oakland and at Arizona before returning home.

But One Direction’s appearance in Arlington occurs the third week of the preseason, altering the schedule.

The Cowboys will have to play at home either in the first or second week of the preseason. One possibility is the Cowboys could end training camp before the second preseason game, returning home to play the following weekend. They could then conclude the preseason schedule at home in Week 4.

I wonder if One Direction knows that Gene Jones picked out all the art in the stadium.

If they don't know they'll find out. Hey, maybe they'll get that old man to give them a tour of the stadium that I got. Everyone wants to know the gauge on the bolts that are on the beams that run from one end to the next on the stadium.

I know I was always wondering that.
