University of Alabama cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick has been charged with drug possession in Florida.

Kirkpatrick, 22, was charged with possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana at 12:48 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Manatee Sheriff's Office website. He was released earlier today.

Kirkpatrick declared for the NFL draft last week.
