Arkin taking snaps at center for Cowboys with injuries to Phil Costa, Ryan Cook

IRVING — David Arkin took most of the snaps at center in practice Wednesday because starting center Phil Costa and backup center Ryan Cook were out with injuries, Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said.

Costa injured his knee against Baltimore on Sunday. It was his first game back this season after playing only three snaps in the season opener and leaving with a back injury that had been a problem since the preseason.

Cook suffered a strained left hamstring in the loss to Chicago. He had started at center in place of Costa.

Arkin struggled with his shotgun snaps throughout training camp. The Cowboys are hopeful that Costa will be able to practice more later this week so he can play Sunday at Carolina.

6 people have to die for Arkin to get a shot.

Great 4th round pick, again, whoever is in charge for Dallas.

Hoping we draft a C next year (which of course we won't)
Having Costa injured every single week makes him basically useless

Who's our conditioning coach again?
