In Thomas's first full year with an actual NFL QB he is 10th in the league in receiving yardage, 6th in the league in YPC (among WRs with 25 or more receptions) and has 12 receptions of 20 or more yards - tied with Megatron for #1 in the NFL.
Dez Bryant is 37th in the league in yards, behind greats like Davone Bess, and Danny Amendola's collarbone. His 10.5 YPC average is a TE number. And he has 3 catches of 20+.
Dez has been targeted 3 more times than Thomas, and actually catches passes at a higher pct than Thomas (slightly). Thomas just does more.
I remember reading an article this offseason that claimed Thomas still didn't even know the route tree. I don't know that that's changed, but when you watch Denver they seem to run three routes for him, the slant the screen and the streak. Whatever it's working.
I don't know whether to be more disappointed in Dez or our offensive plan. I feel like it's both.
