Cowboys' Dez Bryant: I'm still among the NFL's top wide receivers
By Jon Machota
OXNARD, Calif. -- Dez Bryant turned in his worst statistical season a year ago, catching 31 passes for 401 yards and three touchdowns.
Ankle, foot and knee injuries limited him to only nine games.
Not being his usual self on Sundays led to many dropping Bryant on their lists of the NFL's top wide receivers.
Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, Odell Beckham Jr., A.J. Green, Brandon Marshall, Larry Fitzgerald and Allen Robinson all ranked ahead of Bryant, who came in at No. 51 overall, on this year's annual Top 100 Players list.
That list, which is compiled by player voting, had Bryant ranked 15th overall after the 2014 season.
Bryant certainly believes he's among the league's best players. How does he plan on proving that in 2016?
"There's only one thing I got to go out there and do, that's go out there and be D, be me," Bryant said Wednesday during an interview with Michael Irvin for the NFL Network. "I love Antonio Brown. I love Julio Jones. I love Odell Beckham. I put myself up there with those guys as well.
"But it's not all about me sitting here talking, I'm just going to go out there and show them. That's something I'm real damn good at doing."
