They have an open roster spot, wonder if they might activate Kenneth Boatright with the hope he could add something to the pass rush. Sounds like they are extremely unhappy with Henry Melton right now, and he was this <> close to being deactivated vs Chicago last Thursday.

Cowboys call up defensive end Kenneth Boatright

IRVING, Texas -- Defensive end Kenneth Boatright will be called up to the active roster from the practice squad, according to Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones.

Boatright joined the Cowboys in training camp and has spent the year on the practice squad. He gives the Cowboys 10 defensive linemen on the 53-man roster.

The Cowboys created a vacancy on their roster on Monday when they waived Micah Pellerin, who has since rejoined the practice squad.

The Cowboys worked out veteran defensive end/outside linebacker Lawrence Sidbury but elected to go with Boatright instead.

Todd Archer, who is close to the team, actually suggested today that Melton has disappeared so much lately -- and probably combined with missing the team bus -- that he could even be deactivated this week. Sounds crazy, but that's what he said. Wonder if this has anything to do with that.

Sounds like Melton has some 'tude problems.

Really liked what we saw from Boatright in preseason and pretty happy nobody has signed him away from us. Hopefully he can help give the pass rush some boost.
