is there a more disappointing player on the field?

Alot of people were moving towards Free sucking so noone is really disappointed in him, but jeez Carr seems not even average to me. He doesn't have the speed to follow any receiver across the field, so we've seen Riley Cooper and Greg Little shake free on him. He has struggled locating the ball in the air, like last night maybe he couldn't see it through the glare of his stupid visor (FFS we play indoors, RW11), he shows no ability to break on the ball to make plays....

Basically the best thing you can say about him is he's not giving up alot of deep plays. What else has he done?

lol

I'm with you. The last few weeks he's getting whipped about as bad as Newman ever did. Surprised there's not more talk about it.

Yep, he's awful. I expected him to be a huge upgrade but he's just as bad as Newman.

I'd rather do that so we can get another corner outside than trying to will 50 million dollars out of a wetstone.

I'm not ready to give up on Carr. More pass rush and better back end coverage will help the Corners a ton.

This idea that CB's should be able to cover forever while the QB sits safely in the pocket is off. Carr needs to improve but the scheme, safeties, and pass rush have to do their part too.

I dont think he's played great, but I think alot of it could be tied to the stupid scheme and lousy coaching we're doing

He's supposed to be a press corner (just liek Claiborne) yet both of them spend 75% or more of the time 5 yds or more off the ball.

QB's also have way too much time to throw. The lack of a consistent pass rush and total lack of any creative blitzing exposes these guys for too long back there.

Maybe I'm just bind..but I don't think he's playing horrifically like most are saying

Sure, he's nowhere near worth his contract...but he isn't horrendous...nowhere close to Newman bad

In training camp, writers kept saying he was this incredible corner that kept making plays.

Maybe he blew his wad in August.

Not sure how he gave up that TD to Cooper. He was in his hip pocket.

Carr played a lot of zone in KC, actually, dbLair.

we didnt spend 50 mils on him to a zone CB here...the idea they said all along was to have a physical CB to press other etams WR's. Its also why they traded up for Claiborne

We're almost as bad at scouting dbs as we are oline. Josh Thomas says hello.

Which is why we had to trade up into the top 6 to man the can't miss Claiborne.
