CARPENTER CUT
For the third consecutive game, special teams errors cost a member of the Dolphins organization a job. Linebacker Bobby Carpenter was cut Monday.
On defense, Carpenter and Tim Dobbins had been combining to take the place of injured starting inside linebacker Channing Crowder, with Carpenter in the game more often on passing downs. His one-on-one tackle of Minnesota's Adrian Peterson at the Dolphins' 1-yard line on a third-down play was part of the defensive stand that saved the win against Minnesota.
It was Carpenter's failings on special teams, however, that finished him.
