First im going to say it was FUCKING great to hand it to the giants tonight.

This Cowboys defense is like night and day from what we had to look at last yr. Yes, the safeties have weaknesses but the CB play allows for Ryan to keep Church and Sesnabaugh in posistion to hide them. Once Jenkins gets 100% watch out. This might just be the best defense in the NFL.

Kevin Ogletree, Im not going to buy anybody saying that Ogletree worked against 3rd and 4th CBs. Ogletree embarrassed Corey Webster on his 2nd TD. The guy ran beautiful routes, and that stop and go on Webster was fucking amazing. So bad that Webster didnt even attempt to recover cause he was beat so bad.

Bruce and Lee are going to be a great middle core for the Cowboys for the next decade mark these words.

The OL, I think Cook will replace Costa from here on out. The guy was thrown in there and the middle stabilized. Tyron and Free struggled but its not like they were playing the Oakland Raiders. The giants have the best DEs in the NFL. Bernadeau has a penalty but the guy is a mauler. He's going to be really good this yr. Livings will be serviceable like Kosier. Solid but nothing great.

The conditioning of this team is amazing thing for me to see. at the end of the game this team looked just as fresh as it did at the start of the game when the Giants looked gassed.

Romo was a boss tonight plain and simple. If he can cut down on his stupidity before the snap ill be happy. I think youre looking at the MVP of the NFL this yr.

I guess Dez talking bout being dedicated to route running and studying was more then just talk. Guy was a beast i think Murray knocked him into next week tho.

Gonna be a good season i can feel it

I don't share your optimism on this. Cook SHOULD replace Costa, but we all know the powers that be have a serious hardon for Costa. And I don't understand why. I don't like how Ryan went with the soft or prevent near the end of the game. It's like we refuse to learn our lessons that doomed us. You up by 14 on the road against the Super Bowl Champs, you need to have the mindset that you are actually down by 14 and you keep fighting. And why does Romo continue to let the clock get all the way down to ONE SECOND? There is no other team tha thas as mnay delay of game penalties as the Cowboys. And that's on both Garrett and Romo.

If someone told me that the Cowboys would committ 13 penalties

I'm not sold on the entire ol. I just don't think they're as bad as most on this forum think. It's like any positive play the offense has its everybody else's ability but the ol.
I really liked what I saw from the guards. Cook was solid considering he's only been with the team for about a week. Free and Tyron struggled but its not like they went up against chopped liver.

The OL could have done much worse, particularly given just how little time they have worked together as a unit. I'm just hoping that over the next several weeks we'll see continued improvement as they "gel" (an old Landry term).

IMO, Romo's mobility was a huge factor. A less mobile, more Bledsoe-like QB would have been sacked several more times last night. The protection really wasn't all that great. Murray's long run was due to Murray, not the OL.

I'm looking forward to seeing how well the offense is clicking in, say, 4 or 5 weeks from now.
