Like its said every year it seems the Cowboys have what seems as a solid chance to be very good "on paper". But im tired of the same statement every yr with the same outcome at the end of every yr. The team folding when it counts. The coaching crumbling when the games on the line. Enough with the bullshit and just come out and from start to finish leave it all on the field. I would gladly respect and accept a losing season from a team that shows maximum effort over the crap we get out of this team. Too many times we see games where the players just seem to not care. Game plans that seem to be thrown together the night before. As much praise as Garrett gets from conservative and older cowboy fans who are stuck on old ways. This team needs a new way. Garrett talks the good talk but the actions this team takes on sundays is the same tired ass routine. Seems like nothing has changed.
So, is it the players who feel entitled? Or just lazy bums collecting millions of dollars? Is it a coaching who is too stubborn to admit he in over his head with this team? Me personally i think its all of the above. I said it from the day Garrett was hired i thought the job was too big for him. Players on this team dont answer to the HC (obvious) they answer to Jerry. And this team is just lazy any fool can see that on sundays.
I like how they went and got the best DEF player in the draft and didnt think twice. I see alot of fans crying about the loss of a 2nd round pick. Thats what you do to get top players. I can guarantee you tho if there wasnt the rookie wage scale he Claiborne wouldnt be a cowboy. And the same people crying about the cost of getting him would be comlaining about how Dallas doesnt get the top players.
Dallas has alot of building blocks but they need to jell together as a team. The OL will be fine. Tyron alone moving to the left side will be great for the OL. Dallas is very young along the OL. They'll be a force with a whole offseason to prepare. I actually think Kowalski is going to turn into the center people want in Dallas.
Demarco Murray im going to say right now will be the best RB in the nfl this yr.
The problem with this team tho is on defense...I still feel sick on how many players Dallas missed on because of Parcells moving to a 3-4. when he took over this team the defense was the bright spot but in 2 yrs he destroyed what was a top ranked defense to a slow unathletic pool of shit. I know that statement will not be popular but i dont give a fuck. Dallas was a fast athletic defense who could hide their weaknesses because they were fast all around. and couldnt be ran on.
I like what they did with the secondary. this was a weak draft for safety and despite all the love Barron got the week before the draft he's avaerage. He is a young version of sensabaugh. Claiborne was the perfect fit. Ive always liked jenkins and loved how he played thru all the pain last yr. But Claiborne is the future. Jenkins can be traded too. Claiborne and Carr IMO is going to be great. I like how Dallas got more athletic in the middle of the Lber core. Conner i think is going to suprise and push Carter. I like the idea if Dallas playing more 2-4-5 sets. I still think they need the big body in the middle. I hate seeing Ratliff pushed around like a scrub at the end of the yr. And thats what starts the domino effect for bad defense in Dallas.
Dallas doesnt have the big name big splash offseason its more of a subtle improvement. I like it "on paper" but fuck paper i want to see it on the field.
