Some random stat numbers:

1) Dak Prescott has a QB rating of 98.5 and a completion % of almost 68%. Very solid 7.7 yds per attempt. The zero picks is obviously the one that really stands out.

2) After a tough start vs NYG, Zeke Elliott is now up to 4.4 yds per carry on the season and has 412 yds rushing for the season, putting him on pace for 1600+ now. Elliott is also far and away the league leader in rushing first downs with 27 (9 more than anyone else) and also leads the league in 20+ yd runs with 4

3) Cowboys offense ranks 2nd in the league in yds per game (just under 396) and ranks 10th in scoring at 25.3 (on pace for 400+ for season)

4) Cowboys O ranks 2nd in rushing yds per game (149, just behind league leader Cleveland) and have the most first downs in football with 99. Their 44 rushing first downs are far and away the league leader.

5) Cowboys lead the league in 3rd down conversion % offensively (50%). We rank 2nd in TOP (35:20 a game) and in turnover margin are tied for 6th at +3

6) Defensively we rank 18th in yds per game allowed but rank 10th in pts allowed per game at 19.3. We rank 11th in rushing defense, giving up 94.8 per game

7) We all know about our pass rush woes. We rank 24th in the league with just 6 sacks. Care to guess who is last? That'd be the New York Football Giants. The team that spent enormous amounts of $$$$ on Olivier Vernon, Damon Harrison & Jenoris Jenkins. Tyrone Crawford has the same amount of sacks (2) as Jason Pierre-Paul AND Olivier Vernon combined. They rank only slightly ahead of us in yds per game allowed defensively, and we actually rank higher than them in pts allowed.

8) Carson Wentz (103.8, 6th) and Dak Prescott (98.5, 13th) rank WAY ahead of the top two QB's picked in last years draft in QB rating. Marcus Mariota ranks 29th at 73.9 and Jameis Winston ranks 31st at 72.9, ahead of only Ryan Fitzpatrick who leads the league in picks with 10 and has a miserable QB rating of 57.6. Also interesting in that both Wentz and Prescott have VASTLY better completion % numbers than Winston and Mariotta, both of them under 60% at 58.2% and 58.8%. Dak Prescott with his 67.9% comp % ranks 6th in the league. Mariota also leads the league in fumbles.

9) Morris Claiborne ranks 3rd on the Cowboys with 18 tackles, and is tied with several other players for the team lead in tackles for loss.

Zeke is also on pace to tote the rock only 16 fewer times than Murray did in 2014.

What are the chances the Cowboys end up with two 1,000 yard rushers?

Pretty slim I'd think unless Morris' workload goes up dramatically. Right now he only has 95 yds for the season (about 25 per game) and he's averaging 6 carries a game.

This defense is not as good as the stats would suggest. But we'll take it as long as it lasts. And like others have been posting in various threads no way it will take us to the Promised Land. SIX years of the Process and Garrett's defense never makes much progress. Six years is long long time in the NFL.

6 years in the NFL is an eternity. For some teams that could be the career of 3-5 coaches having come and gone for bad performance

Just not in Dallas
