    2017 Week 8 thread

TE Blake Jarwin signed off our PS after Eagles were trying to sign him to theirs. Also a rumor we are talking to Ravens about trading WR Cole Beasley

How the Cowboys averted disaster and squashed the 49ers like an ant

Yeah I'm not in the mode of thinking we're a legit Super Bowl team at all. We should have won the Rams and Packers games and be 5-1, but pissed them away because of bad coaching and bad defense. Maybe the defense improves some as the season goes on if the key guys stay healthy, but the bad...

Would you give up those 3 Super Bowls? If so, what for?

Yeah Aikman described the feeling after winning the super bowl IIRC as "relieved". That said the 95 team did have some injury issues. Erik Williams had returned to play RT but wasn't anywhere near as good as he was pre-injury. Charles Haley had the back problems for most of the 2nd half of...

Not only did they do that, but they claimed they didn't think Wentz was worthy of a 1st rd pick

Interesting Brad Sham note on late 80's with Landry

I still remember the clips of Michael Irvin ransacking that lockerroom at the team facility the day he heard the news about Jimmy.

Bailey is a potential huge loss for us.

I had heard the Hackett stuff before, but don't remember anything about Marty Schottenheimer:

Would you give up those 3 Super Bowls? If so, what for?

Still think its highly doubtful. Jimmy was a wiz as a personnel man and raped teams over and over in trades, plus cashed in big time on the picks.

Would you give up those 3 Super Bowls? If so, what for?

Teams like the 91-95 Cowboys come around about once every 10-20 years or so, so the odds that we'd have duplicated that type of success are damn slim. Jimmy was sensational, as bad as Jones is an owner/GM he got it right once and Jimmy built a dominant team that almost assuredly wouldn't have...

    2017 Week 7 thread

Sam Irwin Hill was the kicker we had on the roster during preseason and he did a pretty solid job. In the preseason he was 2//3 on FG's and made all his PAT's during preseason. I think most of his kickoffs were touchbacks as well. I'm sure that if Bailey cant go they'd consider some other vets...

    2017 Week 7 thread

He was hobbling around during the game a couple of times, they showed it. Didn't hear any mention of injury news on him after game though. Also haven't heard an update on Bailey yet either. Hopefully it's a good sign that he was able to stay on the sideline (and stand at that) the remainder of...

No team is "prepared" to lose the only kicker on their teams during a game. Unless your a fan of having two roster spots used for a kicker, like a certain GM of this team did years ago.

    2017 Week 7 thread

Once upon a time Bill Belichick had Wes Welker as an emergency kicker dude. There's plenty of other legit shit to bitch and moan about from this game, using Jeff Heath as the emergency kicker is not one of them, or even close to being something worth wasting time on. Bad tackling, more poor...

Jeff Heath's been the emergency kicker for awhile now, they even mentioned it during the game. If Bailey cant kick next week then someone else will be signed to be the PK for the game vs Washington.

Don't know what he is doing now in terms of a roster or practice sqaud, but that kid we had in preseason was pretty good
