lol Wonder who he was giving the ok and thumbs up to.

    Wow we really miss Robinson

We need to just let Romo go full OC and run the entire offense himself Peyton Manning-style. Our best plays are almost all him anyway.

    Wow we really miss Robinson

Yep, when the next dumb franchise makes Ogletree a rich man, Tim Benford can be next in line.

    Play of the game

I thought it was the Miles play, too. 1st and 30 and you give up a TD? That had to feel like a backbreaker to them.

    2012 Season Game Threads Mega-Merge

That's what it was. They let the guys play. Did you notice there wasn't a single illegal contact penalty on defense tonight? DBs (especially ours, playing press) had their hands all over their WRs all night with no call. That's how the game used to be called before 2004 when the league...

Replacement ref making the jump from six-man football to the NFL

Radio is saying right now that there's going to be an "eye in the sky" ref watching a monitor to prevent any major mistakes and ball-spotting snafus, which they say has been the biggest issue so far. Oh, and the lead ref tonight is coming from the AFL2 and NAIA football. :noooo

    2012 Season Game Threads Mega-Merge

I think it's higher-scoring than that, but yeah, I think we win. Maybe even win big. Dez should eat those corners alive.

Zoners: This is why Jerry will never change

But that's what we're saying, SP. He's been immensely successful. He's turned 100 million dollars into close to two billion. Sure, he's rather win than lose, all things being equal. But he doesn't want to win enough to give up control again like he did with Parcells. There's really no...

Seriously, you could hardly hire a worse crew if you tried.

Zoners: This is why Jerry will never change

OP is right. We see years of mediocrity because we look at the football field. Jerry sees years of win because he looks at the P/L and balance sheet. Until and unless the team starts to become irrelevant, like when he hired Parcells, there will be no motivation for him to change. Maybe...

Dysfunctional Cowboys not as ‘close’ to Giants as owner Jerry Jones perceives

Yep, we have no idea how the season will turn out. We might whip the Giants tonight, but then they might end up 8-8 and not even a factor while the Eagles go 11-5. Or the Skins could surprise and go 9-7. It seems like every year everybody assumes the team that won it the year before will...

    Spleen Watch

Oh I know he'll play if he's cleared. I'm saying if I were the doctor and it were that close, I'd make him wait another 10 days. If the doc is 100% sure it's healed enough to play, then there's not even a discussion.

    Spleen Watch

That's my thinking on it. If it's that close a decision right now, then he should definitely be okay with 10 more days of rest. And I'd rather have him for the rest of the year than take a chance on this first game.

Giants-Cowboys: 5 key matchups, and a game prediction

Who wrote this?... And that Newman play still goes on Sensabaugh as much as Newman. If your single-high safety bites up on a shorter route and lets the deepest WR behind him (WTF was he doing?), guess what, Cruz will outrun Claiborne to the endzone the same way. Just like he did to lots of...

    witten, jenkins practicing.

Overrated by whom? Average QBs always go high in the draft because teams are desperate for the position. And he may be much better than average.

Unless he has some terrible year, Jones will go a lot higher than late second.

Cowboys interested in Giants WR David Douglas- Dallas didnt claim him

Funny, I was just watching some old TCU veer vids this morning. Ankrom had great speed, as did Donley. Nothing like these ham and eggers. (Of course Ankrom was a project converted QB who never did anything as a pro, but he was a great athlete.)
