    Coach firing thread

Supposedly Lincoln Riley was the apple of their eye, I would assume even though he signed a contract extension he'd be the first person they'd call to gauge interest. They obviously could consider Richard, although after the way the defense played down the stretch and last night, I wouldn't make...

    Playoff win or fire Garrett?

I'm not 100% convinced he is definitely back. Jerry has to know after last night that the coaching is so subpar he doesn't have a prayer to ever win anything significant. Couple that with the Eagles currently winning at New Orleans and losing the chance to host the NFC Championship game had...

Down the road, maybe. He's definitely not a 1st or 2nd ballot HoF IMO though.

I didn't forget it. He shouldn't be on the team at all. We know why he is.

You know, I am guessing you said this to be humorous but as I am typing, the Aints are completely shitting the bed and getting beaten by two tds at home. He left without speaking to the media or the team last night. He was probably super disappointed and pissed, and if he finds out he lost a...

It wouldn't surprise me. This is what good coaches do during the bye week, they study like hell. They probably spent most of their time on us too because they had already played Seattle (twice) Philly and Chicago. Also wouldn't surprise me if they didn't reach out to the Colts to see what they...

Yep. Even the bootleg out to the left (which we rarely do anymore) would have worked well there. Dude is either open for easy first, or Dak just runs towards the sideline to gain the yard or so. Would have probably been a gimmee with how much the Rams were keying on Zeke.

Rams drives vs Cowboys defense last two seasons: 21 drives. Four were end of half/end of game. The other 17 drives: 10 field goals, 5 touchdowns, two punts, no turnovers

Good, I wish the league would stop and never come back. Language in new coaches' contracts hints at possible NFL work stoppage in 2021

Seems like a quality OC/playcaller would have noticed we were getting stuffed routinely at that point and after 2 other 4th down plays Zeke converted, maybe it was time to do something a little different. As one of the other Cowboy writers noticed, Looney and Williams struggled the entire game...

Isnt it up to the coaches at some point to intervene then? By the way, I am pretty sure the Rams used a ton of motion all year. It isn't like it was invented for this game.

I don't think he's even 5'10. If he goes to the combine, I bet he measured 5'8 or so at best.

Goff wasn't overly impressive last night. He made a few good throws, but I didn't see anything eye opening from him. His best play of the game was the run play to ice the game at the end. Prescott had his usual 3 or 4 bad throws but he played a pretty good game otherwise.

I didn't think we were off balance, they just found a weakness in our scheme and exploited in for the entire 60 mins. They had to be thinking we'd adjust and get out of the nickel defense on every down at some point, but we never did. It was really a pathetic job by Richard and Marinelli.

Yep. At one point in the first half it could have definitely been 28-7 or even 35-7 had their LB not dropped that walk in pick 6.

No doubt we will be lapped again too. We are just incapable of winning these types of games. And just like the bad loss at home vs Green Bay in 2016, you can point the finger directly at awful coaching as the main culprit here. Bad game plan and virtually no in game adjustments, again.
