No I secretly wished Aikman went to USC. I'm from a mixed marriage. My grandfather is a Bruin, my grandmother is a Trojan. I was at a lot of UCLA practices back then...big Aikman fan.

    Demarco Murray

Don't get me wrong. Going into the 2010 college season, I was extremely high on Bruce Carter. I like him and I think he'll be a fine player but here's how I look at it... Carter is coming off an injury(ACL) Carter is a natural 4-3 OLB Carter is the 4th ILB for us as of now Moore is healthy...

Reggie Bush, others on shaky ground

Watched a lot of 49ers games last year (to see my boy Taylor Mays). Clements is not the shutdown corner he once was but he is one willing hitter. He was outright vicious on some hits. He may need to consider the move to safety.

Pressure will be on Jerry Jones as GM

I am also hopeful that Ryan makes a difference. Rob Ryan + 2 new safeties + less Brooking and more Lee & Carter should equal a much improved defense.

    Demarco Murray

There were several people who questioned starting Ball. Several more who questioned allowing Wade to return after the butt kicking we took in Minnesota. Yes, many thought we would make a run but there were plenty who questioned Jerry standing pat on the coach and the roster last off-season...

    Demarco Murray

So the GM has no say in evaluating the talent of the roster? Do you remember how many free agents the GM brought in last off-season? Zero. How about free agent visits? Zero. His excuse was he felt the players we had were up to par and no one on the free agent market would be a significant...

I didn't say it was scouts. The scouts, like the coaching staff, report to the overall talent evaluator aka the GM. I noticed you left your hero out of the the people to blame for thinking Ball was up to par. Wade and Campo AND Jerry.

    Demarco Murray

Bruce Carter is a quality linebacker BUT is coming off injury and at best, is our 4th best ILB as of right now. Rahim Moore was available and would have been an instant upgrade at FS. IMO we took a luxury pick there over a huge need and a player that fit that need. Murray is another quality...

Off subject..but his younger brother is one of the top young safeties in the NCAA.

The guys who evaluate the "available safeties" are the same braintrust who thought Alan Ball was adequate in 2010. We can't keep ignoring the position.

I like Murray, hated the pick. We have pure garbage at safety and then 4 (soon to be 3) RB's.

Report: Cardinals to offer Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie for Kolb

Having lived here now and being bombarded with all things Cardianls, I can tell you that Whisenhunt is desperate for a veteran QB. He may not be long for here if they don't win a very mediocre division .

Salary cap numbers with Bradie James

Since trading a player would create the same cap hit as releasing him, why not trade him? I've never been a fan of Bradie James but also realize he is currently our best ILB.
