and we have much bigger needs in the 2nd round than back-up TE. Witten is still Witten and Phillips is serviceable.

Very solid # 2 guy who can start if needed. I'm not upset we didn't sign him but would have liked it a lot if we did get him. I don't want to go out and reach for a Coby Fleener, Orson Charles, or Dwayne Allen now because of it.

Any doubt OL and DL first 2 picks?

DeCastro at 14 or trade down if he's gone and go with Cordy Glenn or best available pass rusher (to replace Spencer in a year). 2nd round I expect a complete surprise just like the last 2 years. A position WE (posters of DCU) don't feel we need like QB, RB, WR. 3rd round an injured player who...

This is a pretty weak TE draft.

But you'd have to admit Pool is better than Elam, however small a margin that is, he is better. Plus, it's only a 1-year deal. I would have hated it if it was a 3-year deal. Orton is better than Kitna (and McGee) so upgrade there. Vickers is equal to or better than Fiametta, especially if the...

Carter's speed, specifically his closing speed, is going to make a lot of us happy next year.

It does remind me of the 2009 Special Teams draft. "we're good, just need a little depth."

Brodney Poole a Cowboy - 1 year deal

Aww. It's okay Corky. Play with your legos'. The big, bad normal kids will leave you alone now.

Still wanna hold out hope for the draft. It's really hard to mess up a top 15 pick. Fingers crossed. By the way, Dan Connor signing would push me to a solid B. Nate Livings signing, especially if longer than a 1 year deal, would drop it to a D. I'm not kidding, he is that awful. Pool is...

I wanted to go B-/C+. Love the Carr signing but the rest were all back-up caliber players. Good signings but we still have major holes in the starting line-up. Mackensey what's his name is far from the sure thing starter the Cowboys are making him out to be.

Brodney Poole a Cowboy - 1 year deal

He's played in the league a year longer than Elam but is 2 years younger than him. dbair is right, he is an upgrade over Elam but that's like being the tallest midget. The 2013 draft is loaded with safeties and maybe we'll look at Harrison Smith in the 2nd or someone like Markelle Martin or...

    Kosier To C?

I get what you are saying but we signed Kosier to a 3-year deal and there is no cap saving in letting him go this year. I'm okay with him starting over Costa, Nagy, Kowalski, and Arkin. The team clearly views Mackenzy Bernadeau as a starter and I hope like hell we want DeCastro at 14 or Cordy...

    Kosier To C?

I suggested this (all bow before me) a while back. He already makes the OL calls and they have worked with him at center before. Sign 2 new starting guards (or someone else's reserves apparently) and let Kosier, Costa, and Kowalski battle it out for center with the odd man being cut or traded.

I'm telling you..there is some kind of philosophical f'd up type of thinking with whoever is evaluating Offensive Line and Safety for this team. The wasted draft picks on OL, the serious misjudging of NFL readiness of Costa and Nagy. The whole Alan Ball idea, continuing to bring back Sensabaugh...
