Report: Tom Brady destroyed phone, suspension to be upheld

his goal will be to get a temporary injunction and kick this down the road to next spring or something. proving irreparable harm to his career or likelihood to succeed on the merits will be tough, though.

Tim Brown says Michael Irvin didn’t want him as a Cowboys’ teammate

Mike's ego could handle a fading Anthony Miller, but not local hero Brown. besides, we still had Harper under contract for one more year, so the timing wasn't right.

Okay Dez, now that you have your contract...

my only issue is that if you see one-on-one coverage and only need two yards, a slant or a comeback route would seem a safer option than a bomb. throwing deep in that situation certainly had the element of surprise, but I would have preferred a higher percentage pass.

I really really hate the offseason.

I remember taking the VHS tape out of the VCR, going up to my bedroom, and doing some silent fist-pumps. :lol If you were old enough to remember the pain from The Catch, the '92 Champ Game was incredibly cathartic/satisfying.

The History of Rule Changes That Affected Passer Ratings

But not 21st century good. He would have been playing in an era when you could clothesline QB's, and the passing game was de-emphasized (WRs in the three point stance). Oh sure, but Weeden could have won that 1972 SB vs Washington just by handing off and throwing high percentage passes. Griese...

The History of Rule Changes That Affected Passer Ratings

Romo had to beat out a failed baseball player (Henson), a druggie (Carter), an aging Testaverde and an immobile, pick-happy fossil (Bledsoe). Would a team in the 1960s/70s have been as patient with him? Craig Morton, in his prime and coming off a Super Bowl, presented a much stiffer test for...

The History of Rule Changes That Affected Passer Ratings

Yeah, I'm not talking about plucking a 240 lb offensive lineman from 1960 and watching him get steamrolled by today's players. I'm saying that if Unitas or Staubach had been born the same year as Romo, their greatness would still be intact and their stats would put the old ones to shame...

The History of Rule Changes That Affected Passer Ratings

yes, well, there are plenty of QBs today who put up eye-popping numbers, but that doesn't put them in the same "stratosphere" as Roger or Unitas. lies, damn lies, and ....

The History of Rule Changes That Affected Passer Ratings

why is it "silly" or inconceivable that Unitas and Staubach, who played in an era when you could decapitate the QB and mug their wide receivers, would be as good or better than Romo if they had the same modern-day advantages like nutrition, year-round training, superior equipment, video...

    The Cowboys Greatest Postseason Warriors

Had he scored on that play and delivered a W for Dallas, I'm convinced he'd be in the HOF today. It would have been the fourth signature play of his career, next to the Hail Mary, Atlanta and Thanksgiving '74.

    The Cowboys Greatest Postseason Warriors

Drew Pearson's numbers in NFC Championship games and Super Bowls were pretty abysmal. The Hail Mary and miracle in Atlanta kinda save him.

Okay Dez, now that you have your contract...

it was. he was looking his way the entire time. for whatever reason, he wasn't interested in a higher percentage throw to say Beasley or Witten underneath.

    The Cowboys Greatest Postseason Warriors

Um, Charlie Waters has the most post-season picks in NFL (not just Cowboy) history. I'm just going to assume you overlooked him.

SO.... Here's what I would be offering Dez today.

retarded money, but five years is an acceptable risk

Dez's contract situation may turn ugly

I don't see the logic in holding out. missing a few games will not make the Boys blink and pay him more money because they can't. absent a deal by Wednesday, he either plays for $12 million or nothing.
