    Interested in Urlacher

Phone Call Urlacher's agent: "we are thinking 5 years, $28 million." Jerry Jones: "we have $180k." Dial tone. dbair: "He sucks. Unless we sign him, then OH MY GOD is he good."

DirecTV could pull plug on NFL Sunday Ticket

theebs, don't Dallas area fans get all 16 Cowboy games televised locally? As far as Season Pass, I wish they'd sell Team Passes for less. I love football but I really only want to watch the Cowboys every week. I can catch the other stuff on highlight shows.

    Cowboys (Mock) War Room

last pick in the 2nd round, 62. I'm at 87 and with no 4th rounder, I doubt I can move up much. If Jones, Warford, and Frederick slip another 10 or 12 picks, I may try to move up with a 5th.

    Cowboys (Mock) War Room

I took Hankins. Just couldn't pass up that value. Next pick up is 3rd round, pick 87. I used our 3rd round pick (80) to jump and get Floyd but I acquired Seattle's 3rd (87) when I traded down in the 2nd. Seattle wanted Robert Woods and I didn't really love who was available at 47. I know we...

    Cowboys (Mock) War Room

I'm the Cowboys GM in a 7-round mock over on the Spawn boards. I took Sharrif Floyd DT Florida in the 1st. ( I traded up from 18 to 15 to get him). I'm on the clock now in the 2nd round (pick 56) and looking over my choices. I have to pick in about an hour. Here's some of the players...

    Mock

Like the two 2's, the 3, and 4. Could live with the 5 and 7. Not familiar with the Elon WR. I just don't like Short at all.

ummm, Matt Johnson? Dude's a star.

    Cowboys working out Jarvis Moss

LDE in Kiffin's scheme seems ideal for Moss, assuming he is ready to show up every day. Being let go twice might be the humbling experience that will lead to Moss working hard and living up to his college potential.

    Cowboys working out Jarvis Moss

let's see who are our other DE's on the roster besides Ware and Spencer? Tyrone Crawford (if he didn't overgrow the position), Kyle Wilber, Alex Albright maybe, and someone named Ikponmwosa Igbinosun, so I'm all for adding the 28-year old, 6'7", 280 pound former first round pick (17th...

We're sacrificing the future with cap restructures

I also like that we did all this without even touching Romo. His contract has huge potential to free up cap room. Plus, cutting Spears, Free, Connor, and Sensabaugh frees up more room. We should be able to sign 2 quality free agents IMO.

    Johnson or Cooper

Are we assuming Free is cut before hand in this scenario? If he has, and Parnell is the default starter, I take Johnson. If Free and Parnell are going to actually compete for the starting RT job, or we have signed a free agent Tackle who can start, I'd go Cooper.

We're sacrificing the future with cap restructures

You keep saying this but it's more like up-front money vs long-term money. When a player is cut down the road this "guaranteed " money is fictional. The accelerated bonus hit is not actual money and in most cases, the cap hit is less than the players actual cap hit would have been had they...

We're sacrificing the future with cap restructures

The Redskins have been restructuring for years and seem to do fine. Think of it like this; It may seem like we are putting off paying these guys down the road with backloaded contracts but they are years that these guys will never see. DeMarcus Ware will never see that $13.75M base salary ($18M...
