    Todd Gurley- torn ACL

The kid is a football player who got hurt. It sucks, but it happens.

Sanchez isn't playing horrible, but he isn't looking good either. Just very average.

Zach Martin is having a great season

There wasn't bashing, but I think a lot of fans were underwhelmed by the selection. After all, Martin was the guy who the Cowboys drafted because the other guys the Cowboys really wanted were already gone. Even Jerry wasn't so excited with this pick. Jerry wanted Manziel. Here's a couple of...

Jerry: Can't dismiss Super Bowl at this point

Yeah, I have had a strict no-Cowboys merchandise rule for the past 5 or 6 years. I still have a couple of t-shirts and caps that I bought before the ban, but I very rarely wear them and haven't worn them at all for over a year. I've picked up a couple of Jacksonville Jaguars t-shirts and a cap...

Sports Illustrated: One play changed course of Cowboys, brought 'poetry' to Dallas

I don't know what the front office was thinking at any given point in time, but for a while there it sure seemed like the front office believed that they could acquire a bunch of mediocre linemen, put them in an open competition, and then a quality OL would magically emerge. That plan didn't work.

Stephen Jones: It's My Family's Fault Romo Doesn't Have a Championship

It does seem like the talent acquisition process in front office has been particularly good lately. Don"t know if it is dumb luck or better decision-making.

Cowlishaw: Don't assume the Cowboys will make the playoffs

Me either. It is a done deal.

Cowlishaw: Don't assume the Cowboys will make the playoffs

Things can and do happen (car crashes and hotel treadmills), but I'm thinking that the longer term outlook for the Dallas OL is actually pretty good. And if you've got a solid OL, a lot of things become more possible.

Cowlishaw: Don't assume the Cowboys will make the playoffs

Yeah, I suspect that Sanchez will soon reveal himself to be inadequate (via poor decisions / turnovers). Here's hoping it happens vs. the Cowboys.

Cowlishaw: Don't assume the Cowboys will make the playoffs

I don't have access to it, but there was an article available to subscribers (on ESPN) which apparently projects that the Cowboys will finish with a 10-6 record, but will miss the playoffs. Going only .500 in the final 6 games wouldn't be great. And missing the playoffs with a 10-6 record...

Colinshaw: Garrett lacked common sense in leaving Romo in game

Good thing Garrett didn't wait even longer ... half of all DCU posters would have stroked out. That's right -- three people, dead.

Colinshaw: Garrett lacked common sense in leaving Romo in game

Yeah, in retrospect, it might have made sense to pull them a series or two earlier. But let's be honest ... in the past several seasons, we have seen the Cowboys lose in the most unlikely of ways. We've seen them helplessly fritter away games that they most certainly should have won. If...

I missed that early touchdown and just now read this. So they went shotgun at the 2? Tell me it wasn't an empty backfield.

    Palmer

Just a little background: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/early-lead/wp/2014/11/10/the-carson-palmer-contract-jinx-strikes-again-cardinals-qb-believed-to-have-torn-acl/ By the way, roughly $20 million is guaranteed. Sucks for the Cardinals. Very lucky for Palmer. Although I'm sure he'd...

    NFL Week #10: TNF | Dallas Cowboys (6-3) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (1-8)

It looked to me that Romo threw the ball behind Escobar a bit, but Escobar came up with the nice catch anyway. Had Romo led him a bit, could have been a longer gain. Yeah, and Hitchens made several plays yesterday. Not bad.

Parcells: If I played Romo as a rookie, he'da been out of the NFL in less than 2yrs

There was a time when sports (including the NFL) was considered to be something different from entertainment. Jerry blurred that line to make billions. And yet something was lost too.
