    Re-Signing Sean Lee

You also don't get better as a team by signing players to long term deals who can't prove they can stay healthy.

Broaddus: Scout's Big Prediction - Hanna Contributes More Than Escobar

So, you would consider drafting a 3rd TE as much of a need as OL/DL/safety? Please say yes.

Broaddus: Scout's Big Prediction - Hanna Contributes More Than Escobar

Right, and those are luxury picks, which we can't afford. RE: my post above.

    Re-Signing Sean Lee

He has shown a history of not being able to complete a single season. I think 3 years would be the max I would go. Otherwise, if we do have to cut him our cap situation gets even worse.

    Re-Signing Sean Lee

No way I sign him to a 5 year deal. I would let him walk if he insisted on that long of a contract at this point.

Broaddus: Scout's Big Prediction - Hanna Contributes More Than Escobar

It all boils down to TE wasn't a need and Escobar wasn't some badass BPA at that spot. It was a stupid luxury pick which we don't have the luxury to take.

Broaddus: Scout's Big Prediction - Hanna Contributes More Than Escobar

Exactly, so we should have gone after another position of need with that pick since there was talent on the board. IMO, it was a very confusing pick.

    Re-Signing Sean Lee

Read, Middie. Gah! You asked what I would offer him. That's what I would offer him. I didn't say I would let him walk if he said no. And, if you mean 7 mill per over 3 I would have to think about it very carefully.

You asked what I would offer him if I were Stephen Jones. That's what I would offer him.

    Re-Signing Sean Lee

7-8 mill a year is too high. I would probably sign him to 5 mill or so per on a short term 2 year contract, and then if he can show he can stay healthy over those two years sign him to a longer term deal.

Broaddus: Scout's Big Prediction - Hanna Contributes More Than Escobar

This is what pisses me off the most. We had at least 2 quality safeties on the board when we took him. A very high position of need. Yet, we go after a god damn TE again. And then go after another in FA. Well oiled machine.

MacMahon: Cowboys position series - Cornerbacks

They won’t play off of receivers very often, though. Kiffin’s corners will play press on a regular basis. I am actually excited to finally see a lot of press. We may get burned because of weak safety help over the top, but I had rather see that than yielding 10 yards at the line on every play.
