BtB: Rob Ryan: "I’m only looking at DBs. Nothing else. DBs."

I wouldn't put it past us to be this dumb and just fixate on CB, and then let everyone know we are just going to fixate on CB's. Hopefully though we will sign a quality CB in FA and then find a good value with one in the 2nd or 3rd round. But repeating our 2000 draft strategy isn't out of the...

    Drafttek.com's Updated Mock Draft 1/26/12

They have Cordy Glenn, Ben Jones and Zeitler all going after us in the 2nd round. I see they are working off the assumption we signed Nicks in FA, but still, I wouldn't hesitate nabbing another OG in the top two rounds. But, I think 1-2 of these they have lasting til past the middle of the...

    Why? Is he injured too?

    Eli Manning is the luckiest...

I'd like for them to get to keep the one against the Eagles though :YES ...and looking back I did want them to beat the Rams since St Louis had just won the year before and it was the Pats first. Too bad the Panthers couldn't have pulled the other one out though.

    2012 NFL Draft Chatter...

I saw one mock having the Redskins taking him in the top 10. Jerry'll probably see that and think he's getting a steal at 14.

Cowboys to visit with Janoris Jenkins

It depends on what year it is. Is this the "no Randy Moss" type year or the "let's sign Tank and PacMan" type year?

Definitely a good talent. At the right place on day three I'd have no problem with him.

    2012 NFL Draft Chatter...

Yeah, I'm not sure either are suited for 3-4 OLB. Even if we move to a 4-3 base, I'd still be a little leery. Looks like our targets at #14 are shrinking before our eyes. hmmmm. Janzen Jackson? He was one of Kiffin's recruits at Tennessee who got into off the field trouble, came back and...

    2012 NFL Draft Chatter...

Alabama LB Courtney Upshaw has been one of the leading OLB candidates all season, but his weigh-in here has me thinking he's more likely to be a 4-3 DE pass rusher, or an ILB guy in a 3-4 scheme when he measured only 6-1 1/2, but weighed a squat 273 pounds. And no, he did not look fat, but also...

Goose and Moore discuss how Callahan helps the Cowboys with the cap

I think we address the OL but not with a high priced FA and first rounder.

Goose and Moore discuss how Callahan helps the Cowboys with the cap

The only thing I was emphatic about was not bringing in both Nicks and DeCastro. Can't see that much money getting tied up on the OL along with Tyron and Free. Now it is possible we get one or the other, but it's also possible we go with a mid-tier FA and/or 2nd/3rd round OL.

Goose and Moore discuss how Callahan helps the Cowboys with the cap

If we adhere to this then we can forget about Nicks. And after taking Tyron #1 last year, there is zero chance we sign Nicks AND draft DeCastro. I'm not even sure we'll get either since we locked up Free last year. Maybe opt for a bargain G/C in FA and then a 2nd/3rd round pick in the draft.

    2011 Season Game Threads Mega-Merge

I still like DeCastro at #14. But I think there will be a couple of options in the front 7 also. I like what I saw of Upshaw in the title game but I admit I didn't see him play much this year. Right now if it's not DeCastro I'm at a tossup between Upshaw and Ingram.

    PFW: Scouts Take 1/22

Callahan is not Houck so that's the only reason anyone has waved the towel over this hire. But having an OL coach not know how to evaluate talent is the last thing we need. RIP Colts.

True. One lived off of Jimmy's teams for a couple of years while the other enjoyed the fruits, inititally, of what BP had put into place. In the end though, they both ran it into the ground.
