Our pick at 9 It's not going to be OL

lol I remember that! 8 reps!

Our pick at 9 It's not going to be OL

A lot of folks at the Zone preferred Felix or Mendanhall... A few liked CJ, but many felt he was a "Poor Man's" Tony Dorsett.

Our pick at 9 It's not going to be OL

Chris Johnson is a terrific talent. Several teams missed out on him. I'm not a Mendanhall fan. I still prefer Felix over him.

Our pick at 9 It's not going to be OL

I'm not ready to say the Felix Jones pick sucked.

Our pick at 9 It's not going to be OL

For what it's worth, I thought the Cowboys did well last year managing the draft. The first 3 picks were solid. Players were taken at good value positions, meaning they weren't reaches... And if anything they went later than they should have. If the Cowboys manage this draft the same way...

Draft Watch: Florida S Ahmad Black

His poor 40 time was surprising. What a lousy safety class.

2011 NFL Draft Rumors: Cowboys To Address O-Line Via Free Agency?

Of course you could find an immediate starter in rounds 3-7. I just wouldn't bet my IRA on that happening. On top of that I think having one rookie starter on the offensive line is dicey enough... But I don't see two rookie starters. Hence, one rookie starter and one vet to fill the holes at...

2011 NFL Draft Rumors: Cowboys To Address O-Line Via Free Agency?

I can see one starter from the draft. Two immediate starters is a reach. I think Kosier is resigned for another year or two.

2011 NFL Draft Rumors: Cowboys To Address O-Line Via Free Agency?

You're obviously not taking into consideration the direction the thread was going. I was responding to Cr122's comment about not participating in free agency but instead using the draft to solve the problem for the 2011 season. I agree that the draft needs to be the prime method of rebuilding...

Columnist: Cowboys' DeMarcus Ware No. 3 player in NFL; Tony Romo not a Top 12 QB

At this juncture, I wouldn't take Vick over Romo, no matter how much post season success he's had.

2011 NFL Draft Rumors: Cowboys To Address O-Line Via Free Agency?

I meant immediate starters... Like from day 1, season 1. The offensive line immediately needs 1 tackle and 1 guard as starters.

Draft Watch: Clemson S DeAndre McDaniel

You mean like Peterson? You may get to see that.

2011 NFL Draft Rumors: Cowboys To Address O-Line Via Free Agency?

Of course, but in the mean time, at least one free agent will need to be signed for the offensive line. Two, if Doug Free is declared an unrestricted FA.

Draft Watch: Clemson S DeAndre McDaniel

Another large-framed safety who's slow and doesn't have the coverage skills to succeed at the next level. NO.

2011 NFL Draft Rumors: Cowboys To Address O-Line Via Free Agency?

Agreed. But you can't fix all the positions through the draft. Not enough picks and after the first couple of rounds, expecting a starter to be drafted is a real reach. Then you have some positions like safety that are very thin and are not likely to be solved by the draft no matter what...

Cowboys must wait before pouncing on undrafted free-agent market

This is really a painful adjunct to all this CBA nonsense... The UFA scramble is one of my favorite parts of draft weekend.

    Eatman - Immediate Player

That was one of the big complaints about what Buffalo did last year. Taking another RB with a couple decent ones already on the roster. I think Buffalo realizes now that they did frick-up.

Matt Mosley: "If Cowboys Can Trade Down, They Will; ‘Not There’ On Tyron Smith"

I vote for moving back, taking an OT and getting an another 3rd round pick. With the pick at #40 plus two 3rds, the Cowboys could get a DE, an interior offensive lineman and an ILB. I'd be very pleased with that haul.

2011 NFL Draft Rumors: Cowboys To Address O-Line Via Free Agency?

In actuality Kosier is a free agent and if they resign him, well... I don't see the Cowboys signing a FA OT or center. I think those two positions will be filled via the draft.
