Could be somebody of interest for teams (maybe even us) in almost forgotten about Supplemental Draft.

Will be very interesting to see if our people are there.

That said, the Jets have three 1st rd picks and the Browns have two. Unless the evidence is just so ridiculously horrible I bet one of those two nabs him (note, they can designate which pick they want to bid, it does not have to be their own)

Wait....you actually think a team would use a 1st on this kid?

Maybe. He's a talent and we know how obsessed teams are with potential QB "answers". QB's are overvalued and over-drafted all the time, many of whom don't have the size, throwing talent or overall athletic ability this kid has.

I don't know what all they have in his background other than what we have all read. I also read they (his attorney and agent) are trying to use another players previous gambling situation (I think a player the Pats drafted, will try and find all the specifics) where he had gambled in college but the NFL didnt suspend him upon entering the league as a true precedent here.

Would I bet on him being a 1st rd pick now? No, but wouldn't be all that shocked either.

sorsby should be banned from the league or at least a lengthy suspension

not sure of the other kid, but if he gambled then ban him too

the league has to bring the hammer every time this happens or you might as well watch wrestling because theyre both fake

If we were to use a high pick on the kid I'd be pissed. 4th or later I'd be kind of OK.

Why, just because of the gambling thing? (and I'm not downplaying that, it's obviously a serious thing because he wasn't just playing around and better on random sports events)

I don't think they'll get him by bidding a 4th, I suspect he will def go earlier than that.

That said, if there's other stuff going on we don't know about then obviously that has to be considered. But just from a size/arm talent/production/athletic ability he checks a lot of boxes as a potential franchise QB. If he had been able to play at Texas Tech and had another big yr he prob goes very early in the April 2027 draft. We almost assuredly would have no shot at a talent like that (whether him or someone else)

You've been blinded by Dak for so many years you've forgotten what a real franchise QB looks like and it's not Sorsby. Nothing I've seen on his highlight vids screams franchise QB. No one will take him in the 1st with that kind of baggage and I question his mental toughness. When a kid has a chance to be a decent player and get drafted and choses to fuck it all up over gambling, of all things, then he's too weak minded to be the franchise. Gambling...not pussy....but gambling. No team will truly put the weight of a franchise on this kid's shoulders.
