I agree. America First is now synonymous with Trump and the far right (ie: white supremacists). You have to hand it to the left, no one does messaging better than them......the "Inflation Reduction Act?"

Everyone should be America First and many foreign politicians are country first, especially when dealing with the US, whom they HATE. But we have this need to blow and burn money away for absolutely nothing and then asking the working American to pay for it. Unfortunately, there are people on the left that can't get past their ideology.

When it comes to defense, Europe is America First too!

This is a Witch Hunt... The Fng Govt. Never "went after" The Clinton "Foundation"...

Of course it is a witch hunt. Does anyone really believe all of these legal matters coming to a head now, in August before the mid-terms, is coincidence? The raid on Mar-A-Lago, Letitia James compelling Trump to testify in another case, the subpoenas for Lindsey Graham and others to testify in the Georgia case, etc. There will be more to come we can be certain of that. It is a coordinated all out attack to punish Trump and stop him from running in 2024 and also to take down all his supporters.

The establishment will not go down easy, there is too much at stake for them. The only question is, how do we stop this abuse of government power because even the judges are going along with it.

I've seen some video clips of the conference and they were pretty good. Some real strange and unexplained phenomena were brought up. But they won't get any traction and the "experts" feel paper ballots are the only way to a secure election.

I am in the minority, but as a retired Cyber Security professional I think we can have electronic voting that is far more secure than the mail in ballots, which are totally unsecure. The problem with paper ballots is they often require a second party to be involved in the counting or tabulation. If you mail a ballot, there may be dozens of people handling your ballot before it is tabulated. Anyone of those people could alter or destroy your vote.

You would never follow a process like this with cash. In fact, when ATMs were first deployed by banks, it took a long time for people to get comfortable with the idea of depositing cash in the machines. And until the process was refined, there were plenty of examples of fraud, by depositors and by bank employees.

Banks transfer trillions of dollars every single day all electronically and often without any paper involved in the process. The amount of fraud in this system is actually very small and what there is usually involved error of end users, like allowing the passwords to get hacked. Even so, banks keep detailed electronics records for proofing end of day transfer amounts they use to detect any fraud in the system. I know because I designed a funds transfer system for a major global bank.

If we want a secure system, we should use electronic voting machines that are not connected to the internet, where a voter uses and interface that allows him to make his candidate selections and record them. The machine can be hardened to ensure those vote totals are not modified. Of course, the vulnerability in this process is knowing the voter, or authenticating his identity and entitlement to vote. This could be rectified with voter ID.

It does not have to be complicated. But the problem in the US is there is no will to secure the voting process. In fact, with early voting, mail-in ballots, no signature verification, no voter ID, etc. the system is designed to allow fraud to occur AND go undetected.

Indeed, the affidavit unsealed Friday contains a reference to former Trump adviser Kash Patel — one of Trump’s authorized representatives to the National Archives — claiming in a Breitbart News article that Trump had declassified many of the records at issue.

In a post on his social media site, Trump lashed out shortly after the affidavit was unsealed, complaining of heavy redactions and noting that the word “nuclear” wasn’t mentioned despite reports that documents related to America’s nuclear secrets were among the cache held at Mar-a-Lago. Trump, notably, didn’t say whether or not such documents were in fact among them, only that there was no reference to them.

Trump also repeatedly slammed Reinhart for authorizing the search saying he should have recused himself from the matter. But Trump — as both Reinhart and the Justice Department have noted in court filings — never attempted to intervene in the matter to either help shape the redaction process, provide more insight on the documents he had at his estate or to formally seek the magistrate’s recusal.

None of this shit phases me in the least and does nothing to restore any faith in the DoJ or FBI. I'd need some real context to think Trump knowingly committed a crime. First, have other Presidents removed similar items? If so, how did the National Archives and DoJ go about recovering those documents, if they even did? I have to believe prior Presidents remove material all the time at the end of their respective terms, probably to keep them at their Presidential libraries (but I'm just guessing).

I do recall Trump ordering the declassification of the Russia probe documents. I'd have to think he declassified more documents and I'd also have to believe the DoJ, FBI, CIA, etc. fought him on the declassifications. Quite frankly, I don't give a fuck what unelected bureaucrats think.

I also think the heavy redactions are bullshit, especially the names of investigators. This is completely unprecedented. I've never redacted affidavits with my name on them and some are still found on-line from the 90's. LEO's who put their names on an affidavit should not have an expectation of privacy and certainly not have their names redacted for security reasons.

When I was working, we'd often think twice about obtaining certain warrants because of how much we'd have to disclose in those affidavits (ie: investigative background, methods and sources). Prosecutors ALWAYS wanted more information/evidence/details in affidavits than was needed to establish probable cause. Knowing this, there were warrants we would not pursue so as not to divulge sensitive information. Redacting was never part of the equation. The FBI is a law enforcement agency acting like the gestapo and then are too fucking pussyish to put their names on the warrant. Listen fucknuts, you're working in the era of the internet. Stay off of Facebook, and Instagram, and Twitter and Lord knows what other social media. Keep your wife and kids off those platforms as well. Mine did and there were no exceptions. No photos at school that might make it into the local newspaper with names in the caption. These are rules of the game. We don't circumvent those rules by redacting an agent's name on a fucking legal document. At least not in America.

This conduct is so infuriating because it continues to make us look like a Third World banana republic.

Obama made off with millions of documents and of course Hillary had all kinds of classified material on her personal computer, and the FBI/DOJ didnt bat an eyelash about that.

I can't believe that other Presidents haven't left with documents with various security classifications. The FBI and other3 letter agencies no longer get the benefit of the doubt from me after the shit we've seen the past 6 plus years. And you can go back further to other incidents like Richard Jewell and others. And now it's coming out the the FBI went to Facebook to suppress the laptop story. This type of conduct is mind numbingly outrageous. It can't be described any other way.

Mark Levin brought up an interesting point. James Comey kept classified documents and leaked some of them to a friend and told him to go to the NY Times. No one accused or indicted Comey.

And Bradley Manning not only stole top secret documents and digital documents but he gave them to Wikileaks. He was convicted but after receiving a 35 year sentence, Obama commuted his sentence to only 5 years. Then Manning ran for congress!

This is a good analysis of why this Mar-A-Lago raid was a bunch of nonsense.

I read the presidential records act and I cannot understand what the issue is. The PRA gives the president the authority to determine what are records and what are personal documents. There is other stuff in there too that seems to give the president broad authority of documents in his possession.

But the important point to remember, is the FBI has treated no one the way they treated Trump when it comes to documents. Sandy Berger literally stole documents from the National Archives and stuffed them in his pants and he was asked to return them. There was no Mar-a-Lago style raid on his home.

And remember John Deutch, the head of the CIA undere Clinton? From Britannica: "CIA officials discovered that Deutch had moved a large amount of classified information onto his unprotected home computers. The CIA’s examination of the matter was brief, and Attorney General Janet Reno dismissed the case without calling for an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The case was reopened in 2000, but ultimately Deutch was pardoned by President Clinton. "

This is clearly a witch hunt, again, by the same people behind several other Trump witch hunts.
