Zeke made a comment that Dallas “only has 3 running plays”. Look who Dallas is seeking: a Saban acolyte who will not question him.

They've said all the right things publicly about giving Zeke a 2nd contract, but I have my doubts. I think that (and potential injury to Zeke) are the real reasons they seem very interested in upgrading the backup RB spot.

That said, when Emmitt was here him and Troy said there were only 4 running plays in the playbook.

You know they will, they need to do something like letting the highest salary each year not count against the cap so the QB doesnt wreck the team

the QB's are getting paid so much, its getting to the point where you cant win with a good QB and you cant win if you pay a good QB

AUGH! Meant to say:

QB's are getting paid so much, its getting to the point where you cant win without a good QB but then you cant win if you pay a good QB

Even with the promotion of Helen Moore to OC, I am still looking forward to seeing what this team can do this coming season.

Hopefully we don’t shit the bed like we have in the past after a decent season.

We're in great shape for years to come it appears at WR. Gallup has a ton of potential, just scratched the surface last year.

Look what just happened to the Seahawks...had to let go of Clark b/c of Wilson's contract and we might have been in the same boat had we dealt with Dak's contract first
Totally agree with your statement which is why managing this cap is so crucial...Patriots handle it like masters b/c Brady gets it regardless of what his wife does!!

yup and Brady understands his success is dependent upon having pieces around him and knows he can't win by himself. He'll print money for the rest of his life because of his success on the field which is partly due to his willingness to take a lower salary ( he's currently paid 17th in the NFL ). Had he deservedly demanded to be the #1 paid player in the league throughout his career, he might not have more than 2 Super Bowl wins (And Belichik probably would have traded him).

If jeri was the "marketing genius" all the dumbass donkeys say he is, he would get virtually every player to sign for less because they will make more money in endorsements and outside of football than they will anywhere else EVEN when the team sucks and if they ever won a super bowl again, almost every player on the team would be printing money. Kenny Gant was famous for running around like a shark on special teams and got a huge contract from Tampa Bay because of the Cowboys mystique. Almost every player had their own talk show back in the 90's, it was crazy.

There's also no income tax in Texas and real estate is still cheap compared to places like NYC.

If the buffoons that own this team had any sense and ability to sell, EVERY player could be convinced to take less in Dallas not just for the above but also for access to the Cowboy Bus, Yacht, plane, helicopter stadium, notoriety, fame, etc, etc.

Dallas should be doing what New England does every year but the albatross of an owner will always hold the team back

Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones has called this a “big year” for Charlton. Maybe it’s more like make-or-break for the 28th overall pick of the 2017 draft.

“I’m expecting Taco to strap on his pads, put on his helmet and go out there and compete every day to prove that he belongs on this roster,” Cowboys vice president of player personnel Will McClay said on 133.3 ESPN, via Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News. “The injury and all those things, he’s going to have to overcome that and be available. But I expect Taco to put his best foot forward and battle and compete for a spot. But you know what? We’re not going to hold the train for anybody. If you want to compete and roll down with us, here it is. Everybody is going to have that opportunity. I expect Taco to be a much better player and a much more productive player. He was turning the corner last year. Injuries happen, all that other stuff. I expect him to go and battle and compete, and if him or anybody else isn’t willing to compete, hopefully we have enough stuff there to keep us strong throughout the process.”

Charlton is the only one of the Cowboys’ past six first-round draft picks not to have made the Pro Bowl.
In 27 games, he has four sacks.
