HOW I BECAME A COWBOY FAN
I grew up in the projects in the Bronx. As a 6yr old boy. I would look out my apartment window and watch a bunch of dudes where helmets and pads with funny pants playing a game with a ball and hitting each other. I loved it. I didn't know what football was yet. The men in my family were Puerto Rico and were baseball fans and knew nothing about Pro Ameican Football. Anyway, when I turned 7 I was allowed to outside by myself. I went to the team that had the NY letters on their helmets. I said I would like to play with them They asked me what building I live in. I said and pointed to my building. They said I could not play with them. I asked why. They said you have to play for your building. And your building already has a team given to it. It turned out my buildings team was the Cowboys. So I went to the sports store and bought the best uniform that money could by in the '60s. Goe a long sleeve blue authentic cowboy jersey with the number 22 on it. Bullet Bob. and started my own team for my building. I have been a Cowboy fan ever since.
I am now 57yrs old and spend half of my year in the Philipines and the other half in New Mexico. I am a father of 7 children and proud to say we are all very close to each other. I am all about Christ, Family, Work, Community, the American way and the Cowboys to keep what I am about simple.
