Per ESPN Holmgren stepped down officially today and is completely GONE in Cleveland, and they are stating this is "earlier than planned"

Holmgren is leaving Browns this week

November, 25, 2012

By Jamison Hensley | ESPN.com

Sunday's 20-14 win over the Steelers was the last game for Browns out-going president Mike Holmgren, a team spokesman announced.

Holmgren had previously planned to remain with the team through the rest of the season. The Browns had essentially replaced Holmgren when they named Joe Banner as their chief executive officer.

Holmgren is scheduled to address the media Monday. The Browns were 12-31 under Holmgren, a .279 winning percentage.

My concern with Holmgren would be how long would he actually want to do this. I think I read he is 64 (although he doesnt look it)

He's an excellent coach and runs a disciplined operation when he is coaching, but you know he wouldnt be here long term.

I dont think he's burned out like Parcells was, when we got him though.

Better than Garrett.

As far as how long would he want to do it? Not really a concern for me. This team has about a three year window before Ware, Witten, Romo start to show decline and Murray likely gets paralyzed.

So if Holmgren can last three years, we'll be starting over anyways most likely 4 years or so from now with a new QB.

We need a youngish, firebreathing ass kicker who will truly change the culture at VR. But Jerry doesn't care for "walk on eggshells" kinda guys, so the point is moot.

Holmgren is fat, old, uninspiring, a little too chummy with Jerry, and hasn't accomplished jack shit without Favre.

Sources close to him and I say that he's itching for the Cowboy's job.

Only thing Holmgren has going for him is the respect JJ holds for him.

Jerrah may not want to press his influence on the guy.

Except for that whole taking Seattle to the Super Bowl (and getting hosed by the refs) thing.

He should have a Super Bowl title in Seattle, they got major robbed that game vs Shitsburgh
