Jerry Jones says the #Cowboys expect to know Witten's status around 3 today.

Jerry said there is some history with guys taking some medicine and playing with this injury...

Seems he will be a drive from that.

But Seattle makes more sense.

I don’t see why he wouldn’t be medically cleared and you know Witten will play if that is the case. He plays is my guess.

If you can't decide if it is too dangerous for him to play in the game until the day before the game, he probably shouldn't play in the game.

My guess is that he'll see some action.

Fit him with protective gear - see Romo playing with punctured lung vs Redskins.

Tell him to rub some dirt on it.

That's my thinking on it. If it's that close a decision right now, then he should definitely be okay with 10 more days of rest. And I'd rather have him for the rest of the year than take a chance on this first game.

Good luck telling him that. If the doctor clears him this morning maybe he just plays in a limited role.

The doctor already cleared him for Seattle.

These giants games are personal though, it's going to be hard to keep him out.

If u don't want him to play it would almost make more sense not bringing him, but since the plane leaves at 1 that is not going to happen.

Oh I know he'll play if he's cleared. I'm saying if I were the doctor and it were that close, I'd make him wait another 10 days.

If the doc is 100% sure it's healed enough to play, then there's not even a discussion.

Making him wait 10 days makes all the sense in the world.

Getting a division win on the road on a night like this is probably all witten cares about though.

Co hart didnt make trip to ny.

Dunbar did.

I can't imagine witten is not a go....just Phillips and Hannah seems to light with only one fullback.

I think it might mean he is playing. The main reason they signed this other TE was to be the 3rd guy in case Witten was out.

With Dunbar making the trip and Cochart not, sounds like he might be getting released. Dunbar probably be moved to the 53.
