I guess when kowalski gets healthy and works his way back in by october or so that will add something....

right now like most teams it looks pretty scary up front.

Some teams can manage it, but we have to play in the best division in the league where all 4 teams can hit the qb....the eagles and giants seemingly whenever they want.

I wish he'd cut that nasty ass hair. I'm surprised the Cowboys don't have a rule about that.

Murray looks insane.

Sensy is everywhere.

Hatcher got a coverage sack, something we saw either because our secondary is better or Bradford is terrible.

Romo doesn't need a third WR you shitdicks.

Thoughts on the game....

Romo is fucking magic. Any Cowboy fan who thinks Romo is the problem is clearly retarded.

It's good to see that even replacement refs got the league mandate to screw the Cowboys. John Phillips got hosed twice in the same drive.

Speaking of Phillips, I hope we sign him to an extension before he hits the open market next year.

Dwayne Harris looks like he did at East Carolina. SP is right that with Romo the 3rd WR is not as important but I think he loses that argument if Dez or Miles can't go and one of these WR's has to start. Romo can expose the defense's 3rd CB by extending plays in the pocket. Asking him to do make these guys look great against starting CB's will be tougher.

Mario Butler, Adrian Hamilton, and Cole Beasley are doing everything possible to make the 53.

Matt Johnson will spend the majority of whatever NFL career he has on the Injured Reserve.

That was a cool blitz we ran where Lee got a sack. Spencer, Rat, Hatcher and Butler with Scandrick and Lee coming off the edge.

I see theebs doing his usual undersell and panic before the big game...

guilty.

but I am just concerned considering how good ny is upfront. Seattle isnt so shabby either.

Against teams that are kind of a level down from ny and philly the line should be ok, servicable anyway.....

Yea, after last night i am worried about the line even more. Tyron would have gotten about 3 holding calls in just the 1st quarter. This line is as bad as we all suspected...well unless you are the one poster calling everyone out. I rewatched the game about 4 times. The only saving grace is Romo, he is playing on another level. Cowboy defense will need to really step up and create some points.

People raggin on the OL performance last night are going WAY overboard.

Holy shit. You guys are acting like the offensive front was dismantled...Romo threw for 200 yards in one quarter. Holy heck.

Sure, there were tons of breakdowns..typically one guy on just about every play..however, that is the beauty of Tony Romo. One guy isn't going to destroy a play vs Romo. If the OL can continuously perform even at the mediocre level they played at lat night, we will be more than fine.

I think we will be fine against ok teams, but we have to play the eagles and giants 4 times plus the steelers and ravens.

that is 6 games where your line has to be excellent. hopefully they are.

Costa was supposedly in good shape yesterday in warmups and will practice tomorrow and be ready to go..hopefully he plays well.

The OL is going to have to play well, there is no question about that. But even yesterday's performance was a decent improvement from last season..

The rams were sending 6 guys numerous times..you aren't going to keep a clean pocket when a defense sends 6..you just hope your QB has enough time to find the open man and we consistently did that yesterday

Watching those 2 Harris TDs that bb posted

1st TD - rams sent 4 - blocked almost flawlessly

2nd TD - rams bit on the PA and sent 8..we had 8 guys in to block, including Felix...7 of the 8 picked up perfectly, Smith missed the lb blitzing but Romo had enough time to find Harris

After a few preseason games...I actually like our pass pro much more than our run blocking..I'm afraid we won't run the ball very well vs Ny

As aggressive as the vagiants are on the front line we might be able to hit Murray on some swing passes as we've seen all preseason and eat up a huge chunk of yards.

I disagree. The Giants are not that good in run defense. I believe we could keep them very much off balanced.

If we don't screen the fuck out of the Giants defense, I'll fuck my own ass.

Im tired of watching teams send pressure at a 5 step drop. Run some screens, keep the defense honest. Especially NYG.

So, has glorydays passed dbair on the homer scale? jk gloydays

And the way I look at it, if we lose to the Giants it's not a huge deal anyway. They're the defending champs and it's at their field. Not the same as, say, losing to the Skins at home.
