I'm starting to get really confident about us winning this game by a healthy margin.

I haven't been this confident about anything since I felt Cam Newton would be a bust.

Coale and Johnson have to show something although they make it on draft status alone. Radway has to do a lot to make the team.

the ravens were going to draft coale, so there is no chance he does not make the team.....to me at least...he will get claimed immediately.

I am not sure if anyone would claim beasley.....it seems holmes and coale would be claimed right away though.

radway is going to the practice squad.

Hopefully they will use the cowboys broadcast tonight on nfl network. Moose, babe and bill jones are calling the game.

it would suck for you guys out of the market to have to listen to marshall faulk and andrew siciliano call the game.

Anyone else wish we weren't playing one of the worst teams in football for our dress rehearsal?

I hope guys don't get overconfident if we look great. It's the Rams, dude.

Meh. I don't need to see the final score to know that this team is .500 or better but not championship caliber.

I was thinking more of the players themselves. From what I've heard, the local media are itching for a reason to love all over this team.

If anyone is interested here are the tickets for the season. Just interesting to see who they use as the 10 players on the tickets each year.

I dont want the media talking about super bowl or whatever and I would prefer they are hard on them going into the season...

but I have to ask why is it wrong for people to like what they have seen this summer? Seems to me with church, mack, carr stepping in and looking like a positive on top of crawford, claiborne, carter and hopefully livings there is no reason to doubt this team is going to compete at this point.

Are we as good as the giants, nope. Not now. Does that mean we are not allowed to like the team or something?

Cutdown day looming as Rams face Cowboys

Rams coach Jeff Fisher has never been cut at any level of football and almost seemed miffed at the question earlier this week.
1. YOUTH SERVED

Rookie WRs Brian Quick and Chris Givens have worked with QB Sam Bradford on the practice field but not in preseason games so far. That could change tonight. Coach Jeff Fisher says he plans to get some of the team's younger skill position players time with the starters. That means RBs Isaiah Pead and even Daryl Richardson might work with the 1s as well.

2. WELLS' DEBUT

The Rams signed Pro Bowl center Scott Wells to a four-year, $24 million free-agent contract from Green Bay during the offseason to anchor the interior of the offensive line. Following spring knee surgery, Wells should finally make his Rams debut against Dallas. Wells is expected to split time with Robert Turner when the starting offense is on the field.

3. INTRIGUE AT TIGHT END?

Lance Kendricks and blocking specialist Matthew Mulligan look like locks here, but is Michael Hoomanawanui being pushed for a roster spot? Hoomanawanui, coming off knee surgery late last season, has had a quiet preseason. Meanwhile, St. Louisan Mike McNeill, plus rookie free agents Deangelo Peterson and Cory Harkey, have all had their moments.

4. BARRY AND JASON

The battle at right tackle may be all but over. Barry Richardson moved into the starting spot before preseason opener and has been there ever since over Jason Smith. Richardson blocked pretty well last week against his former teammates, the Kansas City Chiefs. Another solid outing against the Cowboys could earn him a starting assignment on opening day.

5. SAFETY FIRST

Darian Stewart and Craig Dahl both are expected to miss tonight's game because of hamstring and leg soreness issues. That means free safety Rodney McLeod could get a lot of work. McLeod, an undrafted rookie from Virginia, has been impressive in camp and the preseason. A strong showing vs. Dallas could all but clinch a spot on the 53-man roster.
