Why have the Giants had such dominance over us recently?

Respected non-clown owner.
Professional General Manager.
Head Coach with real discipline and accountability.

Who were both on the hot seat and would've been fired had they niot made the playoffs.

Really? Both their GM and HC were a **** hair from being fired and would have been had they failed to make the playoffs. So... by Romo fucking up in two games, then Garrett in two, and the defense in one, a missed pass to Austin is an indication of them being better from top to bottom? GTFOH!

Yeah, just what I said GTFOH!!!!!!!

I agree with those that say their Dline overwhelmes our Oline, and Eli overwhelmes our secondary.

And I agree with sp... it's about attitude. It almost feels like the Giants know they intimidate us.

For years we let Jacobs run his mouth, and no one silenced him.

Had the Giants not made the playoffs, that GM would have been fired.

Correct, and that's a perfect example of why their organization is better than ours. Because we have only one playoff game in almost 2 decades and our GM still sits pretty. Not a care in the world.

The iced kicker game was against Arizona.

We had the Giants beaten the first game last season, we were up by double digits with 4 minutes or so left. The defense blew the game. Even as bad as the defense was, if Austin doesnt lose that ball in the lights (or whatever) then the game's over.

We also lost DeMarco Murray early in that game. Jones had a very good game, but I think had Murray played the entire game the result might have changed as well.

So what you are saying is that the Giants' "dominance" over us has been the result of more bad luck on individual plays by the Cowboys then anything that the Giants' players, coaches, and GMs have done? I wholeheartedly concur.

People always want to knee-jerk and press the default button of "BLAME JERRY". There is a lot of crap that Jerry can be blamed for, but can Jerry be blamed for:

1.) Romo's fuck ups against the Jets and Lions?
2.) Garrett shutting it down with 3 mins. left and up by 3 against the Patriots?
3.) Garrett's lack of agressiveness against the Cardinals and then icing our own kicker.
4.) The secondary giving up 12 points with elss than 5 minutes left.

All that comes donw to individual plays and nothing so great by their HC or GM. But carry on.

Let's see, the Giants have won 2 Super Bowls in the last ten years?

It's been over a decade an a half since our last one. Shit, we can't even make it out of the first round of the playoffs.

Have a good day sir.

I mean, I want to get out of this slump just like every other Cowboy fan, but let's be realistic here, we have a little ways to go.

With a little luck we just might be in third place.

anemic pass rush aside, there are glimmers of hope

Spears got held on that play and naturally no call made. Loving Brent and Lissemore.

What units of theirs would be considered significantly better than the Cowboys?

I'd definitely take their DL and secondary (from last year) over what Dallas had last year. Receivers. OL.

Dallas probably has better TEs. QB is a wash although I much prefer Romo. Dallas LBers are probably better.

Yet they were still a 9-7 team and got swept by the Redskins. Worse team to have won the Super Bowl.

I really believe it's attitude.

Talent level isn't different so people can stfu about GM. They just make plays when it counts against us. The games are almost always really close, neither team can stop the other, comes down to one or two plays at the end. They've made them more often than not because they believe they will. They just execute, we don't. Maybe that's the "culture at Valley Ranch" or some shit but who really knows. It's just a mixture of attitude and bad luck.

The "culture at Valley Ranch" is what has bled down to the players, so I will not be S'ingTFU about it any time soon.

I'm sure that's why Miles ran his route wrong last year and let the Giants sneak into the playoffs.

Theyre also stupid and Poorly coached.

The giants have a bad snap and were off sides. 3rd and 10 and we can't get the play in on time, delay/bad snap/wasted timeout. Although coachscout assured me that that's ok.

They improvise way too much. They need to get their shit together

I've never seen a secondary as poorly coached as ours was last year.

Comfort, complacency, laziness. All of those stem from no competition being brought in. The attitude that everyone is "safe" is devastating to a team's attitude. I mean, no consequences for bad play, or even the remote possibility that you could be replaced out the window cause players to not give a damn.

The coaches have very little to fear either. Especially the golden boy, Garrett.

So, yeah, it's a big part of why Austin ran the wrong route.
