Doug Pederson announced Wetz as the starter for Sunday's season opener vs the Browns.

I guess you couldn't have asked for a softer intro to the NFL than the Browns.

Wonder how this'll all turn out. Id hate it if the Eagles found a franchise QB.

What a great way to bone over young talent. GMs copy one another all the time, but they seem to just ignore the Aaron Rodgers story in favor of what they saw with Andrew Luck. Glad it's Philly though. I'm sure a guy from an FCS school is totally gonna be fine. Those fans are rational and will be supportive. :jerkoff

I thought they said he would be the starter "when healthy"

And he wasn't scheduled to be cleared yet from his rib injury

Or are they now saying he is cleared to play even with the rib injury and is starting anyway

And the Goff era is off to a slower start than hoped for us here in LA

Goff has been placed on inactive for game 1 of the season

Wentz may start
Dak certainly is starting
Lynch is the back up
Not sure about Cook or Hackenburg

But it seems like the #1 overall pick has fared the worst out of all of them

Denver seems to be hoping that Siemen can hold down the fort until Lynch (who hasn't looked bad) gets up to speed.
