Today, on a PBS program "Open Mind" Robert Pape, founder of Chicago Project on Security & Threats, talks about the January 6th pardons and legacy. This Pape is crying about J6 pardons, and frames J6 as insurrectionists... But, bty, was anyone convicted of insurrection ??? NO--but little things like that never stops PBS from spreading Lies...

This is a demonstration of the saying that a lie travels around the world before the truth gets out the door.

J6 was not an insurrection. Not even close. That's why no one was charged with insurrection. The protesters were unarmed and only wanted the Senate not to confirm the election results. Aside from a limited amount of violent activity possibly initiated by the Capitol Hill police, the wishes of the crowd was asking for a perfectly legal remedy to a number of issues raised about the vote counts in certain states.

Also, Trump was president at the time so how could they have committed insurrection? It makes no sense.

It gall me that first, some Republicans went along with this lie, even helped to perpetrate it. It galls me that a few hundred people entering the capitol scared those corrupt cowards to the point of shock but those same cowards had no concern for the hundreds of thousands of people put at risk of harm during the summer of 2020.

We have spent trillions on the war on drugs and haven't even put a dent in the illegal drug markets in the US. We basically surrendered in the war on pot by legalizing it in some states.

Nothing has worked because we have never figured out how to reduce demand. It's the same as prohibition. It failed because people want to drink, and now they want to do drugs.

Maybe the answer is to legalize all drugs with the caveat that if you use drugs and become unemployable, sick, or criminal, society will not be there to help you.
