TD drive shows why Cowboys believe in Jon Kitna

Jon Kitna was pleased with his performance Saturday - 9 of 14, 84 yards and a 19-yard touchdown pass to Martellus Bennett.
"It's great for me because you know that this might be my only action until 11 weeks into the season where I might have to finish a game or something like that," Kitna said. "I've got to take advantage of all of the opportunities I get."
On his scoring drive Kitna completed passes to Sam Hurd, Kevin Ogletree and Bennett, converting twice on third downs to Bennett, who was making his preseason debut after missing two games with an ankle injury. On the TD throw, Kitna put the ball high to where only Bennett could get it. Bennett took a hit from a defensive back but did not go down as he went into the end zone.
"That's kind of my deal," he said of spreading the ball around. "I just try to be within the system and don't try to focus on one guy."
