The Ravens announced on Saturday afternoon that Suggs, the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year, has been activated after missing the first six weeks of the season because of an offseason Achilles tendon injury. The Ravens still aren’t saying whether Suggs will play on Sunday against the Texans, but putting him on the active roster makes it possible.

And to make room on the active roster for Suggs, the Ravens have released Kindle, who was the 43rd overall pick in the 2010 NFL draft and the Ravens’ first pick that year. Kindle suffered a skull fracture when he fell down a flight of stairs three months after he was drafted and missed his entire rookie season, and he played in just two games in 2011 and only one game so far this year. Now Kindle is gone, making him one of the most disappointing draft picks of Ravens G.M. Ozzie Newsome’s tenure.

But that news is secondary to the fact that Suggs — one of the best picks of Newsome’s tenure — is close to making his return.

I hope he (Suggs) comes back on fire, at least when he plays the Redskins, Giants, and Eagles this year.

Ozzie Newsome misses on players because they fall down flights of stairs and bust their skull.

Jerry Jones misses on players because they suck and play at division 7 schools against crap opponents.

Same ?

kick the tires on Kindle?

Was going to recommend it, but didn't want to be cowboyjoeish. Thanks for taking the bullet.

Hes too talented a pass rusher to not at least give a look to. But you have to wonder how he could never get on the field. Was it entirely because of that injury?

Also... Courtney Upshaw has been unimpressive for the Ravens thus far as well.
