With Tony Romo to be held out of the Dallas Cowboys game against Miami on Thursday, his final exhibition numbers will be a cut below last summer's performance.

In four games this summer, Romo completed 26-of-46 passes for 287 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. He had a passer rating of 64.3

In three games last summer, Romo completed 33-of-47 passes for 353 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He had a passer rating of 90.1.

The numbers aren't that much different, but it's something to think about until our next game I guess.

Here's some numbers for you: If Romo throws over 4,000 yards and at least 26 TDs, the Cowboys will win more than 10 games and possibly win the division. I say that because in each of the two times the Cowboys have won the division, those were the benchmarks for Romo's numbers. With Dez on board and Romo stays healthy (meaning if the Oline blocks like they did last year sans the Vikings' game) and does not miss any games, I'd say those numbers are pretty much automatic.

Just imagine if we had a stellar offensive line, what would Tony be like?

Think about that.

I could see Tony getting those numbers.

I'm not worried about his preseason stats. Romo's matured a lot, but his demeanor is starting to rub me the wrong way. He's gone from "well if this is the worst thing to happen then good" to "I'm the most focused, best quarterback out there." Just my opinion.
