Asante Samuel injures hamstring on last day of training camp

Training camps already are ending, and in the case of Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel camp didn't end soon enough.

Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News reports that Samuel injured a hamstring during the final day of two-a-days at Lehigh.

The extent of the injury isn't known.

Samuel, a big-money, day-one free agency addition in 2008, is entering his third season with the team.

Cornerback Asante Samuel left late in this morning's practice with a hamstring injury. Samuel wasn't wearing ice and didn't seem terribly concerned later, as he exited the field house. The hamstring did not have ice or a wrap.

A source told the Daily News this afternoon that the Eagles do not believe the injury is serious or will require Samuel to miss significant time.


Damnit.
