Less than a week after the Cowboys parted ways with Andre Gurode, the Baltimore Ravens announced they've agreed to a one-year contract with the five-time Pro Bowl center.

Gurode will provide center depth with Ravens starter Matt Birk coming off knee surgery.

Gurode, too, had knee surgery in the offseason and lost his job to Cowboys second-year center Phil Costa. The Cowboys saved $5.5 million in 2011 by releasing Gurode. He had started 122 games at guard and center since 2002.

Gurode also visited the Seahawks and Patriots.

Bryant McKinnie, now Gurode; Baltimore's taking on everybody's o-line castoffs...

This one was easy to see coming. He fits their style, it's a similar offense and they were hurting at center.

From All Pro to backup. Really speaks to what people really thought about his ability.

I don't think it's been determined if he's starting or backing up Birk. I think Birk has an injury he's dealing with right now too.
