IRVING, Texas -- Cowboys kicker David Buehler got an MRI on his right hip after Thursday's practice.

The results of the MRI were not known.

Buehler has missed the last two days due to the injury but said he's feeling better.

Dan Bailey, who is competing with Buehler for the kicker position, is doing all of the kicks.

Among the injured:

Miles Austin (hamstring) missed Thursday's practice and his status is uncertain for the rest of the week and for Sunday's preseason game with the San Diego Chargers.

Keith Brooking (hamstring), Tashard Choice (calf), Montrae Holland (back), Kai Forbath (quad), Teddy Williams (hamstring), Bruce Carter (knee), DeMarco Murray (hamstring) and Terence Newman (groin) did not practice.

Jon Kitna (back) returned to practice after missing the last two days and Mike Jenkins (stinger) was limited to individual drills.

All this kicking competion is a joke.

We have Dez Freakin' Bryant. We're not settling for field goals, people.

Well, he can't miss kicks from the hot tub. This might be a career saving move.

Interesting. Gives Bailey all the time in the world to hang himself.

When the hell can we get a look at Forbath?
