Over the weekend, Eagles wideout DeSean Jackson was carted off during practice. He ended up being fine.

On Tuesday, Eagles wideout Jeremy Maclin was carted off. His injury ended practice early.

Said receiver Hank Baskett of the situation, per Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer: "It killed the mood."

Maclin reportedly needed assistance walking from the cart to the locker room.

So stay tuned.

FOX Sports' Adam Caplan passes along "very strong optimism" at Eagles camp in regard to Jeremy Maclin's left knee injury.

The optimism, of course, is "pending further evaluation," which figures to include an MRI. A bit of definitive good news: Maclin's injury Tuesday was to his left knee. It was the right ACL he ruptured early in his college career. Aug. 3 - 5:39 pm et

Well that sucks.

But Comcast reports that Maclin's injury is a hyperextended left knee and that the MRI showed no ligament damage and just a "bone bruise," which is painful but can go away in just a few days.
