SAN ANTONIO -- When the Cowboys had some defensive line troubles this week, the organization made two moves in cutting a kicker and an oft-injured lineman.

With Dez Bryant out for about a month with a high-ankle sprain, the Cowboys have nine healthy wide receivers. The team isn't looking to add another at this time.

If anything, it gives more reps to young players such as Kevin Ogletree, Titus Ryan, Manuel Johnson and Jesse Holley. Newly signed Teddy Williams, a college track star who played receiver in high school, is staying at cornerback right now. The team wants Williams to learn the basics of the game.

It's doubtful if he'll play next week in Canton.

So for now, the Cowboys will stick with nine wide receivers and move Miles Austin and Patrick Crayton to return units until Bryant returns.

Austin used to return kicks, and Crayton used to return punts.

"Well, anytime you lose a player, then the others are going to get more repetition, and that's the case," owner Jerry Jones said. "[Crayton] will get more reps, so will Hurd. They'll all get more."
