McGee takes charge

With Wade Phillips giving the veterans the morning off, third-string quarterback Stephen McGee got a ton more reps than he usually receives at practice.
"It was good work for me," the second-year player from Texas A&M said. "Usually I don't get that many reps, so you have to take advantage of opportunities like that."
Offensive coordinator Jason Garrett said McGee did just that.
"It was good to see him get extra work and get an opportunity to take control of the huddle," Garrett said. "He was in a number of situations he doesn't see very often. We aren't saying to him, 'Make the play a success,' we are saying to him, 'Make the right decision.' I like the progress he's making."
