Strength of schedule

Well it looks like there is one positive aspect to last seasons 4-12 record. We will have the third easiest schedule in the NFL this coming season

The Niners have the hardest which is surprising with the lousy season they had last year. The Rams have the third toughest schedule while Carolina and Denver are down around 12 and 14

Hopefully we don't shit the bed in FA and the draft and can actually take advantage of our easy schedule this year. It's not likely that we will have it this easy again for sometime

I've never thought SoS means much in the offseason.

Every year some teams end up better than expected and some will be worse than expected

It's mostly the division you're in, which is why the Niners and Rams are up there and we're near the bottom.

And this division will in all likelihood suck again.

Last year's schedule LOOKED bad, but turned out to be what would have been a cakewalk had we had a coach who could win with a backup QB. Look at the records of the teams we played.

Strength of Schedule based on last year's results doesn't mean jack shit.

Combined our opponents are 119-147

So below .500 as a whole

Better than Niners schedule with their opponents at 142-114

I'll take any help we can get
