Sean Lee Added To Pro Bowl Roster As Alternate, Giving Dallas Five Pro Bowlers | Dallas Cowboys
IRVING, Texas – Sean Lee has earned his first career Pro Bowl selection, as he was added to the roster as an injury replacement for Kansas City linebacker Justin Houston.

Houston, a four-time Pro Bowl selection for the Chiefs, was severely limited by a knee injury he suffered at the tail end of the regular season. He missed the last five games of the regular season, and he played in just eight snaps in Kansas City’s playoff loss to New England last weekend.

It’s not surprising that Lee would be one of the first names on deck, given the season he had for the Cowboys. After missing the entire 2014 season with a torn ACL, Lee appeared in 14 games this year, amassing 155 tackles from his new position at weak side linebacker.

The addition gives Dallas five members of the Pro Bowl roster. Kicker Dan Bailey, as well as offensive linemen Tyron Smith, Travis Frederick and Zack Martin were named to the initial roster in December.

5 certain pro bowlers. Likely 4-5 more if coaching didn't suck.

Whah a tragic waste of talent.

On ESPN radio Steve Dennis yesterday kept saying you have to "throw out 2015" bc Romo was out. Friedman just kept listing the players on the offensive line most of whom are considered excellent players or even Pro Bowl players, Friedman listed a substantial group of very good players who should easily be enough to win. The question is still, when life hands a head coach a Romo injury lemon, what does the head coach need to do with the lemon to make the lemonade? It's all adding what needs to be added in order to make the best use of what remains...and in this case the remains of the O-line, TEs, short pass for YAC, and especially using DMC as a lateral/misdirection player instead of having him run Jerome Bettis plays.

Dennis is just a huge Garrett homer who is looking for any excuse for Red. The rallying cry of those guys is that we were building, building, building to 2014, so they have to pretend like 2015 didn't happen to keep the narrative alive.

I just wonder when it became perfectly okay to lose seven in a row and go 1-11 just because your starting QB is hurt.

But yeah, look around the league -- tons of important players are hurt. Panthers lost Benjamin, who is a rising star. Broncos lost their great left tackle in the offseason. Imagine if we lost Tyron for the year and had to start a backup QB five games like the Broncos? The excuses would be endless. Instead, they won homefield and are a game from the Superbowl. The Patriots lost their scatback and just roll on, while in Dallas they act like Lance Freaking Dunbar is a crippling blow.

It's different in Dallas, though. Here as long as we scratch/claw/fight, it's all good.

That's interesting because right after the playoff loss to GB, Ginger told the team pretty much the same thing about 2014!

Jason Garrett is building something for 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016!

How much do you want to bet that a few years after Garrett is finally fired, he is hired back here as a scout or some other front office position? If Josh Brent can be a scout, the sky's the limit for Simple Jason.

A 4-12 with 5 pro bowlers tells you that something doesn't fit here and it's certainly not the players.

What's sad is that Ron Rivera (who actually interviewed for HC with Jerry a few years back) has come under more scrutiny than ginger.

The Dallas media is such a clown convention.

Hard to see Ginger ever seriously coaching again. Maybe QB coach-- even Wade Wilson can hoodwink that spot.

More pro-bowlers than wins. Yeah, it ain't the players.
